At Franklin Haus, we require a 4-hour minimum rental for all events, which includes time for setup and teardown—not just the event itself.
For example, if your event runs from 2–4 PM, your rental would be from 1–5 PM to allow time to decorate, get settled, and clean up afterward without feeling rushed.
We’ve found that anything less than 4 hours doesn’t allow for a smooth experience, so this policy helps make your day as stress-free as possible. Additional hours can always be added if you need more time!

Our space comfortably accommodates up to 32 guests for a seated gathering or 45 guests for a more casual, mixed standing and seated event.

Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own alcohol to enjoy during your event. However, per Maine state guidelines, alcohol cannot be sold, and no bartenders or alcohol service providers are allowed on-site. All alcohol must be self-serve and free of charge to guests.

Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own food or hire a caterer for your event. While we don’t have a kitchen on-site, we’ve partnered with some amazing local caterers—those details are included in our Event Guide! Just a heads-up: extra tables for food or drink displays aren’t included with your rental, so you’ll want to plan accordingly.
